Jane Pratt qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2000 from Birmingham Dental Hospital after working several years as a dental nurse. Jane also has been teaching part time for the last 20 years at Birmingham Dental Hospital on the BSc Dental Hygiene and Therapy course.

She has lectured and worked overseas such as China and Finland and as an Oral Health Educator and Promotor. She has also set up and been actively involved in many programmes educating children in schools and staff and residents in Nursing/Residential homes. Jane has contributed to several written scientific articles and has experience as an examiner both in Dental Nursing and Dental Hygiene and Therapy.

Interests include horses, hiking, especially with her Daschund, cycling, skiing and generally being outside in the countryside.
