Dental Hygiene

A happy, healthy smile starts with good oral hygiene. Our dental hygienists can not only help to prevent gum disease and tooth loss, but also provide you with advice and support to ensure that your teeth and mouth remain in excellent condition.

Prevent future problems

It’s important to have regular appointments to maintain good oral hygiene and to stop problems from arising. If you haven’t had an appointment for a while, it is vital to come and see us soon, especially if you have any of the following:

  • Bleeding gums when brushing your teeth
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold food and/or drink
  • Pain when chewing
  • Crowns, fillings or dental implants
  • A medical condition that increases the risk to your oral health, such as diabetes, kidney disease or Alzheimer’s

With regular visits to the hygienist, we’ll be able to spot early signs of gum disease, and help prevent it altogether.
However, if you are concerned that you may already have gum disease, then we’ll be able to clear the cause of the infection and, in many cases, remove it entirely.

A professional clean

During your appointment, our dental hygienists will provide you with a professional clean known as scaling and polishing. We use Airflow Polishing, a powerful dental hygiene treatment that cleans and polishes your teeth using a combination of air, water and sodium bicarbonate.

Airflow works by using a high-pressured jet of concentrated air, water and bicarbonate at the surfaces of your teeth. This targeted jet cleans between your teeth to remove plaque and tartar, as well as blasting stains.

Airflow is not only much quicker than standard scaling and polishing methods, but provides a more complete clean. As well as removing the buildup of plaque and tartar on the surface of the teeth, it can reach below the gum line to help clear away harmful bacteria.

One-off visits to the dental hygienist cost from £70, See our full price list for details, and how our membership plan can save you money on your regular oral care.

Support and advice

As well as giving your teeth an amazing clean, our dental hygienists will also teach you how to look after your teeth and gums day-to-day. They can talk through your diet to suggest ways of improving and maintaining your oral health, and can even provide advice on giving up smoking to prevent damage to teeth and gums.

Look after your oral health with regular visits to our dental hygienist.

We look forward to welcoming you
